Then I was tired and stretched out on the couch with her. Then I was feeling all anecdotal and spiritual and thought that those things really are lucky for us:
We're lucky to have a huge crock pot of beans to keep us full and healthy;
We're lucky to have space for stuff to get strewn about and messed;
We're lucky to have enzymes to help her digest her food and keep her plumbing in order.
We're lucky to have extra money for something as frivolous and marvelous as a candy-coated gingerbread house.
Have a yucky, lucky week, friends!
Love, Allison
Hi Allison. How are you? I ran across your blog homeschool researching. We moved to Fairbanks this past summer and love it! Morgan and I just fly to CF Clinic every 3 months. Homeschool question: do you do it independently or with a program?
ReplyDeleteHi Misty! Glad you like Fairbanks; hope you like Dr. Roberts! He's been our only doc for these 20 years. We homeschool under Raven Correspondence School. They're quite small and perfect for us at this stage. How old is your Morgan? Our Rees, the 20 year old with CF, is toying with the idea of attending UAF and flying / driving down for clinic. We'll see...
DeleteAllison ~ You know us...we've been in Wasilla the past 8 years :) I've got Morgan and Autumn, 10 and 12.
ReplyDeleteOh, hahaha, I'm laughing so hard! I should have known it was no coincidence (look at that, just like the other Misty and Morgan...). Fairbanks, huh? A little jealous!
DeleteYes, we came back the end of May. We like it much better here :) there's a great pediatrician here that has some cf patients (both kids and adults) if Rees comes to UAF. He's actually to doc that diagnosed Morgan and sent us to Dr Roberts. And it's my first year homeschooling, which I'm really enjoying it.
